The need for Motherless Daughters groups are steadily increasing. Girls of all ages are often left alone in society and expected to learn how to navigate life on their own. Many know what a woman is expected to do, but few have an understanding of how a woman can be for herself and within herself. We provide a safe and sacred place for women and girls to experience a gentle and loving process for healing. Our holistic approach is tailored for their specific needs and movement forward with grace and ease.
Although teenage pregnancy has been declining since 2004, there still is a growing number of girls who do not have basic skills to sustain a healthy lifestyle. We provide life skills and spiritual and personal development that support girls in making healthy choices for themselves. The first step to their success is to develop a vision life plan with easy strategies and resources for carrying out the plan.
Domestic Violence Survivors
Many of the women and girls we serve are motherless and may be experiencing teenage pregnancy and/or in an abusive relationship. They have no support or mentors to encourage and provide them with the courage to move forward or out of an abusive situation. We teach the women and girls how to love themselves back to freedom and away from their abuser, while also connecting them with local resources that can provide for their basic needs, such as food, shelter, clothing, and possibly employment.
Step by Step Recovery
A recovery community teaching people not only how to stay clean, but how to change their old pattern of living and replace them with new behaviors. The organization provides housing and life skills support to eliminate possibility for aloneness and isolation while on a journey of recovery.
